How are you using the domino effect?
The domino effect is where one event triggers multiple events afterwards.
Like a set of dominoes.
This morning my alarm never went off.
I woke up about 40 mins after it normally does go off.
When this happens it’s easy to just react to the day and not be as intentional about what you’re going to do.
The domino effect can be stopped.
- Pause and reset, like finishing a rep in the gym, reset and ground yourself (breathing in for 5 and out for 5 helps)
- Forgive yourself.
- Focus on your response-ability – your ability to choose your response instead of reacting.
- Smash it anyway – whatever you committed to, get it done anyway 👊
You can also use the domino effect to your advantage.
Interrupt old habits you want to change and reset.
Choose who you want to become.
Do more of the things that type of person would do.
Update and evolve as you go 👊
