Sometimes we get so caught up in the day to day busyness that we forget who we are, what we want and where we’re going!
It’s easy to live unconsciously and be swept up into the running through life, rather than checking in and seeing what’s going on, where you are and where you want to be. If there’s a difference between the 2, something needs to change.
We can only be effective when we are living consciously and choosing where we want to be, rather than reacting to where life wants us to be.
To be most effective, when we realise where we want to be and start choosing, it’s important to sharpen your saw and you can then go back into the world more effectively.
Different people sharpen their saw differently so find what works for you! I like to write down things I’m thankful for, things I want in life, go running, spend time with friends and family, play music, listen to music etc.
You can also meditate, write down goals, listen to some motivational speeches, listen to TED talks etc. Anything that changes your state, mentality and approach to your day is something worth doing!
Can you suggest anything else that you do to sharpen your saw?
