At a Toastmasters competition I was lucky enough to be in recently, this was one of the topics that was discussed. It was a quote from Winston Churchill:
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts”
I think there’s so much to this quote if you really think about the meanings in it.
Sometimes we get complacent once we reach success, relishing in the glory of succeeding.
Sometimes we can become defeated and see failure as disastrous to our success.
Instead, being mindful of this quote, and realising that neither success or failure are the end, that you only need to focus on your courage to keep going! I think it’s so powerful!
What do you think?
