I’ve spoken a few times before about how we can’t always control what happens to us and the events we experience in life. Thinking about that statement and all that has gone on in the last week and year makes me question if I still believe it or think differently.

I still think that no matter what happens, we can still only control our reactions.
I’m thinking if I was to lose a loved one, or someone close to me. How would I react and would I be conscious enough to choose my reaction. Or Trump became president, oh wait…

When we focus on where our power is, and realise it’s only in our reactions to the events we find ourselves in, I think we take more responsibility and become more aware of how we can make a difference. It’s easy to get caught up in the blame game and point the finger. It’s harder to take a stand and instead do something positive.

What do you think?
