How habits shape your mood and future!

This is the hardest post ill put up online but only because I think it might help people that go through what I do to think differently and see things better than it seems.

Daily, I have habits that I do first thing in the morning that strengthen me. I go running, I do some kind of weight training, I eat a smoothie and get ready for the day ahead.

However the last few weeks Ive gotten out of these habits, I’ve slipped doing the things that strengthen me first thing in the morning. What’s happened me is that I’ve reset to negativity and a deep unhappiness.. It’s hard feeling the cloud of negativity, feeling so down, it’s hard feeling so helpless and that you’ve to put on a brave face so people won’t worry about you. This negative feeling is easier than I want it to be to achieve. We are constantly bombarded with negativity, the tv news is never positive! Being happy is harder and that’s why I have to do a little bit more to feel it!

This morning however I’m feeling strong. I’m feeling lighter, I’m feeling inner peace as much as possible. I started back into my habits, I exercised, for about 20 minutes.

What I did differently is to exercise, got my heart going early in the day, i read some of 29 Gifts, a book on giving and receiving, I ate well and watched some inspirational videos online.

I am going to get back into the positive daily habits again to continue the positive feelings and to get out of the negativity and feeling of unhappiness. I think the exercise helped a lot because I was mostly living in my head, exercising got me back into my body and out of my head…

If you have any suggestions of what you do in the mornings to strengthen you I’d love to hear them for when it next happens me that I need the strength!

  1. You’ve inspired me to try running in the morning. (: I’ve kind of always wanted to but never have! So I’m just going to do it and see what happens.

    1. Fantastic – glad to hear it! It’s a great way to wake the body up and get your ready for the day ahead! It’s a hard habit to start but if you make it easy, have your shoes by your bed etc, it gets easier and you’ll feel the better for it!! Looking forward to hearing how you get on!
