Rubber band experiment!

Today I’m starting an experiment into conditioning myself for success! I read recently in a book on NLP that a simple technique to cut out negative behaviour and thoughts is to put a rubber band around your wrist and whenever you perform the negative behaviour or have any negative or self doubting thoughts that you pull the rubber band and let it flick you on the wrist! I reckon this comes from a thing I learned in a book on Tony Robbins, where he says we’re motivated by either moving towards pleasure or away from pain. This negative thought pattern will be associated with (a light) pain in my wrist and so will move away from this. That’s the theory anyway!

So far though I’ve not had any negative thoughts to try this out! You’re meant to do this for 2 weeks so I’ll post how it’s going!
