Be kind to yourself

Imagine a friend of yours who you admire and appreciate.

What is it about them that you admire? What do they do that you appreciate?

When you think of how lucky you are to be friends with them, how does that feel?

We can probably more easily come up with responses to those questions when we think of a friend than if we were to answer them about ourselves.

What is it about yourself that you admire?

What are you proud of?

What do you like about yourself?

Who are you becoming?

The stories we tell about ourselves can shape our experiences as we go about our day to day lives.

I can’t do that. I’d never be able to do that…

Start appreciating who you are, where you’ve come from and the strengths you’ve demonstrated over your life.

You’re stronger than you think. Be kind to yourself and notice the good things about yourself.

You matter.
